Nadeen

In case you are wondering, Katrina was kept up to date with Andrea's accident and was able to call her mom and dad many times that week until she felt comfortable that Andrea would be ok. Katrina is still in a trio and will transfer to the French speaking island of Guadalupe next week. Here is her letter from today.

This week has been pretty good. I have been able to refocus on the work and we have had a pretty good week. We have an investigator named Nadeen. She is so sweet. She is 45 and has a 5 year old grandson that she pretty much raises. We were out finding a couple of weeks ago and knocked on her door. No one answered so we started to walk away. but then we heard a voice call out so weturned  back around and she opened the door. We shared who we were and she invited us inside. She sort of looks like a rhasta. haha. She's got dreads and a gold tooth that has a "N" on it and tons of tatoos. But she is just THE sweetest thing. We shared with her the restoration and she completely understood it and excepted it. She kept saying that she was looking for something like this. At the end of the lesson the spirit was SO strong. We asked her how she felt and she said "I feel like crying" and we explained to her that that was the Holy Ghost. She really wants to be a good influence for her grandson and to raise him with the gospel in his life. SO much potential. So we have been to see her about three times since then and we have taught her all the way up through the plan of salvation. We have brought some women members by and she has really liked that. She has a hard time seeing the words on the little Book of Mormon that we gave her so we ordered a HUGE one for here (like a 12by10) and she has just soaked it up. She loves reading the Book of Mormon. Yesterday was really cool because she came to church for the first time. It was a really sweet expereince. She brought Armni (her grandson) and he LOVED primary. I taugh the gospel doctrine class about agency and that was great. The women in the relief society were so nice and kind. Sister Danile (a member) gave her a ride to church. She says that she wants to get baptized before her birthday which is in the end of July. So probably she will get baptized within the next three weeks. So awesome!!!! I will be sad to leave Barbados but I'm SOOOO stoaked for Guadalupe. I think my french is getting better. We will see. I will just do my best and make sure that I don't stress my self out too much. Hipp hipp horray!!!!!
